Read My Honest Review About John Reese's New Course, Traffic Secrets 2.0, And I Might Just Save You A Car Payment...So who was it that pitched you first? Was it John Reese himself? Eben Pagan? The Stompernet Boys? Nevermind, I was just curious. Anyway, believe it or not, this is the very first review I've ever written and launched live to the public. I'll be blatantly honest and say that I did so for 3 selfish reasons.
Now for the reason why YOU ARE here. I'm guessing that you are either looking to purchase or are looking for someone else to make that decision for you. (Or you might be John himself - love your stuff! OR one of John's affiliates committing click fraud - shame on you!) So, I figured I'd give you exactly what you're looking for as I know how indecisive we sometimes get when we're pitched on Internet Marketing-related products. I want to preface this review to say that I own John's first course that came out a few years ago. John Reese was an underground marketer who I believe hit the scene in one of Yanik Silver's Underground Seminars. The cool thing about John is that he doesn't desire to be a "guru" and genuinely is concerned about only offering high quality marketing information. When he came out with the original Traffic Secrets course, it sold for $1,000. I heard that he took in over a million dollars overnight when it launched. Let me speculate a bit and tell you why I think it did so well. There are two types of customers who bit on his first course when it was released. The first type of customer was "wowed" by a half hour Google Adsense video he created where he showed his earnings in just one year - about half a million dollars. That's really all he showed in the video, his earnings. Nothing else. He didn't show what kind of Adsense sites he created, how good his content was, how or where he advertised - nothing. Quite frankly, I was drooling over his earnings and would have bought anything he had to sell - maybe even a piece of chewed chewing gum! The second set of customers, I believe, were the ones who saw John under a different light - a hardcore intellectual who tested and recorded everything - and I mean EVERYTHING. Quite honestly, I don't know of any other marketer who tests and tracks more of what they do then John. In fact, I myself didn't really do a lot of tracking before I had purchased his first course. On the Traffic Secrets dvd's, John talked about testing, tracking, calling people stupid who didn't, testing again, evaluating results, tweaking, etc. Yeah, there were other dvd's on outsourcing, market research, product creation and some underground tactics he was using to build his Internet Empire. But what I got most out of the original course were the 3 T's - how important it was to test, track and tweak everything you do regardless of which methods you use to market on the Internet. I gather that most of the other "guru's" also learned a lot about testing, tracking and tweaking from John as I always seem to hear his name mentioned when they start talking about the same. For those customers who acted upon his offer based on these concepts, I call those the "smart ones." If you're new to Internet Marketing, let me share with you one of the most valuable concepts I've discovered in the 12 years that I've been "infected"... When presented with a new sales letter for an upcoming program or one that has just been released - learn to block out any and all earnings claims and testimonials. I don't care if that is in the form of audio, video, screenshots of bank statements, yellow highlighted boxes, endorsements from other marketing superstars or whatever. Instead, follow these rules:
I'm not going to go into explaining all of my logic in detail, but trust me on this. This alone took me a long time to figure out. The value you will receive from any product, course, software, coaching program or whatever it is that is being offered in a sales letter will be due solely upon the very same points I pointed out above - nothing else. Nothing else should sway your decision. If there's a snippet of video or some screenshots of how something is done or applied, then go ahead and take a gander. But peaking into someone else's bank account, Clickbank account, Adsense account or whatever else that should be private is their form of "cheese" in the "mousetrap" that they all hope you'll bite on. What I'm trying to get you to understand is that ultimately the only accounts that matter are your accounts, no one else's. Someone else's earnings claims will hardly have an effect on your successes or failures as you'll be the one at the helm after you've made the commitment to buy their product. Enough rambling. Sorry about that. Just wanted to get a point across. Now, what about John's second course, Traffic Secrets 2.0, which just launched July 15, 2008? I personally would not recommend buying it unless you literally had $395 to invest, time to study and time to implement. Realize that Internet marketing techniques get outdated quickly if not applied in a timely manner. I'd actually recommend that you get on Ebay and look for his first course since it teaches you how to test, track and tweak your marketing efforts online. It's not all about 3 T's, however. There are other dvd's on the subject of list buidling, joint venturing, Google Adwords, outsourcing and more. The knowledge you'll gain in the original course is timeless. After watching a brief video of what he will be presenting in his new course, most of it revolves around Web 2.0, social media, spy tools, advanced market research, etc. It's all great stuff, but it's just more "stuff" to get you confused if you are just starting out. My recommendation? If you're a "newbie", look for a copy of his first course as it will benefit you ten-fold. If you're advanced and are ready to start marketing using Web 2.0 tactics, jump onboard his new course as it's probably the most advanced course on the subject to date. Plus, John has announced that all buyers of his new course will be grandfathered forever! What that means is that in future if there is a Traffic Tactics version 3, 4 or even 10, you get it absolutely free! Now, I can tell you that the only e-mail lists I subscribe to today belong to these individuals: - John Reese Trust me. I was subscribed to almost a hundred different lists which includes the biggest Internet marketers who I am sure you'd be surprised not to see on my list. But back to John Reese. I need not convince you any further where this guy stands in the Internet Marketing Arena. But at the same time, really, really evaluate how "more" internet marketing information will affect your focus, time and bank account. Just because you "can" doesn't mean that you "should".
